US Social Studies & US Enrichment Teacher
St. Mary’s School, Oregon, U.S.A.
After graduation as an alumna from SMS and earning a B.A. degrees in both Political Science and History at Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA., I returned to SMS several years later to teach a wide variety of social studies classes and worked as an assistant coach for the boy’s basketball program.
Having been teaching at St. Mary's (Medford, Oregon) for 13 years, I was assigned as the advisor by the school while the Model UN club was re-founded in my first year of teaching. That first year saw only 7 student participants, but now it has grown to over 40 per year since! We represented different countries each year so students can learn something new in participation. I enjoy advising Model UN because it allows students to learn about the world from a different perspective. It also requires collaboration and compromise to achieve consensus.
Deputy Chair
Dean of Academics and Students
St. Mary’s School Wuhan Campus
Bachelor's degree in both Math and International Cultural Communication with a strong educational background, I once studied as an exchange student at the University of Hong Kong and enhanced my expertise by completing the "Teaching Leadership Certificate Program" at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, which focused on effectively leading teacher growth while equipping me with "exemplary leadership" methods through global peer collaboration and modular practices.
Being the Head of the Mathematics Department of St. Mary's School Wuhan Campus and then Dean of Academics and Students since 2022 I teach AP Calculus AB/BC, Precalculus, and AP Statistics. I also oversee the chairpersons and moderators of our yearly MUN event at St. Mary’s Wuhan Campus as the Faculty Advisor since 2023.
Chair Assistant
Mathematics Instructor & Project Manager
St. Mary’s Online Academy
As a Project Manager and Advanced Placement mathematics instructor at St. Mary Online Academy, I am thrilled to welcome you to this conference. Enjoying the genuine personal learning experience of high school and undergraduate studies in the United States, I deeply value the kind of cross-cultural engagement this event advocates with 4 times of participations in both US and China. Model UN provides an exceptional platform for you to tackle complex global issues while mastering the arts of collaboration and compromise. I look forward to seeing the unique perspectives and critical problem-solving skills you will bring to your committees.
